About Us

SimtePeople.Com is a non-commercial, non-profit website created and maintained by the voluntary efforts of a few men, dedicated to the provision of an information basis around the life and culture of the people called SIMTE. This site has as its primary objective the epitomizing of Simte roots and heritage, the enhancement and promotion of Simte culture, the rediscovery of Simte identity within the larger Chin-Kuki-Mizo-Zomi kinship, and ultimately the rallying of Simtes everywhere around a singleness of vision and thought – hence the catchphrase, “the Simsung Connexion”. We seek to cater to the versatile needs of the various sections of the Simte society, amass and dispense information about the people, harness potentials from within the community, and work in tandem with the different organizational bodies representing the cause of the Simte people to break cliques and to create new links at personal, ethnic and global levels through information and interactive media.
